WOW !! What A Climax !!!

We are in for one hell of a finish to the group section this season, with the possibility of an all female final back on.  With just TWO rounds to go, this is the scenario........
Group A : DENISE HANCOCK is back on the top of the table, after this weeks top of the table clash saw her beat WAYNE STOCKS 7-4, leaving Wayne a point behind with just one more game to play.
Denise has two games left to play and a win against MARC TINDLE in Round 17 will seal her a place in the 4-SCORE Final by finishing top of Group A.
If Marc manages to beat Denise, it will go down to the last round as to who will win the group, with Marc once again playing a part by being Wayne's opponent.
Denise will play DAVID FREESTONE in the final round.

Group B : VICKY ROWBOTHAM leads Group B, two points ahead of JOHN DRABBLE, with two rounds to go. However, Vicky only has one game left and that is in the next round against.....John !
This means, that it's all or nothing for both of them in the next Round. Whoever wins that game will become winner of Group B and claim their place in the 4-SCORE Final.
If the incredible happens and Vicky and John draw, then John will have to win his Round 18 match against MARTIN WOLFE (yes ME !) and Vicky does not have a game in that round.

Remember, whoever finishes Runner Up in both groups, wins a Free Entry into next seasons competition. Another Free Entry goes to the Winner of the Consolation Prize, which will be battled out by the players who finish bottom of both groups (see the rules for more detailed information).
In Group A, CARL CURRAN will be hoping to LOSE to DAVID FREESTONE in Round 17 to ensure his place in the Consolation Final. David needs to lose for an outside chance of taking the decision to the final round.
In Group B, WILL GLEDHILL looks favourite to finish bottom, but with two rounds to go and all bottom three player in both rounds and all playing different players, it is still not certain who will make the Consolation Final.
